Here we are with the last part in part 3. I had a problem with one of my memory cards and lost almost 600 pictures from the weekend. After I recovered them it left everything in a crazy order so today’s part is not in chronological order and is kind of all over the place. Any who, it shouldn’t take away from the post too much. As for my final thoughts on the trip, I will be going again next year. If something’s good enough to want to do it again, I don’t think there’s much more explaining needed. But […]

Part two of the coverage begins with our first full day in the area. We used this day to check out the Dragon itself since it was a weekday before the event started. Without a doubt this was a great choice by the group. The roads were a lot less crowded and it allowed us to enjoy driving and the scenery. Besides the Dragon we hit up a couple of other roads in the area and we finished the night up with a quick photoshoot of Mike’s AP2 and Fernando’s NA1. Click here if you missed part 1. Everyone […]
Wake the Dragon is one of the annual s2ki trips to the Tail of the Dragon/Deals Gap. It was my first year going and it took a lot of coaxing and even ended up being a pretty last minute decision for me. Needless to say I was extremely happy I went. You’ll notice my car is not in any pictures. I planned on driving down, but the weeks leading up to the event I was dealing with a few minor issues. I thought I fixed everything to have it reappear the Sunday before we left. Rather than risk it I took […]
Road America Part 2. No words just pictures.
Two years later and here are your ITR Expo 14 pics from Road America. Compared to years past the coverage is going to be very minimal. For those that don’t remember I spun a bearing the first session out. The majority of my time that first day was diagnosing that and then the second day was picking up a truck and trailer to get the car home. It’ll only be a two part series this year with today covering the caravan, the King Motorsports open house and the parade laps. Enjoy the show.
Before the PA Meet, I met up with Andrew and his 2001 ITR. This too was scheduled to be a Honda Tuning feature, but never found its way in before the magazine shut down for good. At a casual glance it looks like a simply mint, stock ITR, but hidden within is an 85.5mm x 89mm B18C5Â with 15.5:1 compression pistons. All said and done, it puts down 281 to the wheels with 115 octane. Now take a look at this previously unreleased set:
On the day of the PA Meet back in 2013 I also happened to shoot two ITR’s meant for features for Honda Tuning. Unfortunately, only one made it to print before the magazine closed down. This is that one. Mark’s 98 ITR, which formerly belonged to Jon D. Jon did a great right up on the car and what the “R” experience is all about. I highly recommend giving it a read.
