Only three months after the initial post do I bring on part two. I guess it’s not that bad with my track record lately. The s2000 here was built by Evan’s Tuning for Bader Dashti of B-Tune Performance in Kuwait. It was another shoot scheduled for a Honda Tuning (RIP) feature. The car has made consistent 8 second passes and at the time of the photoshoot it was making over 1000 whp. These kinds of numbers were achieved with a Borg Warner 72mm s400sx with an 87mm Turbine wheel, a 90mm accufab throttle body, a full race turbo manifold all […]
Category Archives: Magazine Features
Of everything I shot for Honda Tuning that got cancelled after its demise, this shoot, almost two years old now, is the one I wished had made it to print the most. Jeff and the team at Evans Tuning have been around for a long time. They are one of the few shops that I ever leave my ITR in the hands of and as a customer I’ve known Jeff for a number of years now. Of anyone, they were the most deserving shop I know to get a feature. Everything that comes out of there, from just a tune to a […]
Before the PA Meet, I met up with Andrew and his 2001 ITR. This too was scheduled to be a Honda Tuning feature, but never found its way in before the magazine shut down for good. At a casual glance it looks like a simply mint, stock ITR, but hidden within is an 85.5mm x 89mm B18C5Â with 15.5:1 compression pistons. All said and done, it puts down 281 to the wheels with 115 octane. Now take a look at this previously unreleased set:
On the day of the PA Meet back in 2013 I also happened to shoot two ITR’s meant for features for Honda Tuning. Unfortunately, only one made it to print before the magazine closed down. This is that one. Mark’s 98 ITR, which formerly belonged to Jon D. Jon did a great right up on the car and what the “R” experience is all about. I highly recommend giving it a read.
Well in case you haven’t noticed its been a bit of time since I’ve posted anything. Since the closing of Honda Tuning my automotive photography kind of took a back seat and I’ve had no motivation to pick up my camera to shoot. Even after getting a new car (a year ago almost!) and having something new to shoot, I haven’t. Besides not shooting, I’m sitting on a back log of stuff that was never released, but I think it’s time I changed that. So today I give you the last PA meet to happen back in 2013, which […]
I apologize for the huge delay between part 9 and 10. I know a lot of you wanted prints so I was double checking that the new store I implemented was working, to find out that it wasn’t. It’s still in the process of trying to be fixed so for now here’s part 10. For those that want prints in the mean time, you can either email me at keith.meilink@gmail.com or shoot me a message on the forums or FB. Sale pricing is as follows: 8×10: $12 shipped 19×13: $35 shipped 24×36: $65 shipped.
The end of this coverage is finally coming. Today we finish up with day one and hop on into the tour of the Ohio State Reformatory, the banquet and the morning of day 2. Enjoy!
